Description

This course provides real estate professionals with a clear, practical understanding of federal Fair Housing laws and how they apply in daily real estate practice. Through historical context, key court cases, and current HUD and DOJ enforcement examples, participants learn to identify discriminatory practices such as steering, blockbusting, redlining, and biased advertising.

The course covers all seven protected classes, reasonable accommodations and modifications, service and support animals, accessible housing requirements, and the responsibilities of REALTORS® under Article 10 of the Code of Ethics. Students also examine how emerging technologies and AI can affect Fair Housing compliance.

By the end of the course, licensees will be equipped to recognize potential violations, communicate effectively with consumers, and uphold professional standards that ensure equal housing opportunity for all.
